  • Personal Trainer -(Updated 3/02/2021) The Ottumwa YMCA is seeking a part-time personal trainer to join our team! This person will be responsible for planning and leading individualized exercise/activity sessions for clients in a fitness specialty area. Individual must be 18 years of age, personal trainer certified (ACE, ACSM, etc.) and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.   • Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor-(Updated 2/17/2021)  The Ottumwa YMCA is seeking a part-time Les Mills Instructor to join our team!  We are looking for a motivated individual who can reflect our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.   • Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor – (Updated 2/17/2021)The Ottumwa YMCA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard and/or Swim Lesson Instructor to help with our aquatics programs. Current Lifeguard certification and experience preferred, but not necessary. Will provide training upon hire. Pick up an application at the Ottumwa YMCA.   • Discovery Lane Teachers Assistant – (Updated 2/17/2021) The Ottumwa YMCA  is currently looking for caring and dedicated staff to help in our Discovery Lane Early Childhood  program. The successful candidate will be self motivated, have a commitment to excellence and provide a high level of customer service. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, 18 years of age or older is preferred with a clean background. CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting and Universal Precautions training’s are preferred but not required. A FREE YMCA membership is available to all staff, no weekends or evening hours past 6:00 pm, retirement options and employment bonuses may be available as well.
