DISCOVERY LANE RESPONSE EFFORTS, EFFECTIVE MARCH 17th, 2020

Hello Families!
Here’s a Covid-19 update concerning plans for how to handle the change in our state’s current condition.
*Drop off and pick up changes, starting Tuesday, March 17th at 5am -When bringing your child(ren) to or from the center, we ask that you do the following:
1.) Use hand sanitizer before using the time clock.
2.) After clocking your family in or out, please wait in the lobby for a staff to assist with taking or getting your child to and from their classroom. This will help by limiting adult entry into the facility and it is what is recommended per the Iowa Department of Human Services.
3.) Due to this, please plan on allowing for extra time during drop off and pick up, especially during high volume times.
Thank you so much for your cooperation during this time while we continue to try and meet the needs of our families and community.
*We will be washing kiddos hands extra throughout the day, including immediately upon arrival. *We are adding more cleaning shifts throughout our day, including before and at the end of the day and a midday extra disinfecting.
*Finally, if your child is sick or shows any symptoms of coming down with an illness or having a weakened immune system, please keep them home and symptom free for a minimum of 24 hours. Symptoms to watch for include, but not limited to; fever, cough, running nose, diarrhea, vomiting, upset stomach, sore throat, fatigue, or anything else that might indicate your child not feeling up to par.
Thanks so much for your support, understanding, and cooperation during this rather uncertain time. We will continue to post any updates as we are made aware of them on our Facebook page! As usual, if you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 641-684-6571 ext. 15
