Rock Steady

Rock Steady Boxing is a research-backed non-contact boxing program designed to help manage and slow the progression of Parkinson's disease and aims to improve the quality of life for those affected by it. The program can be tailored to accomodate individuals at various stages of the disease, so you can safely participate and get an effective workout at any starting level! For more information on the Rock Steady Program, you can check out their website here.

- This program requires registration, and the cost is $60 per month. This program also has a $75 one-time start up fee that covers your: Initial assessment, boxing gloves, hand wraps & or gel wraps, gym bag, and a water bottle. We would like to make it clear that while the price allows us to continue this program, we don't want anyone to be unable to participate due to the price. Financial assistance is available for individuals who qualify and is considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out if you need financial assistance.
- This class meets twice a week at the Ottumwa YMCA in Studio A on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 2:00pm-3:30pm.
- All coaches are certified through the Rock Steady Boxing program which includes over 16 hours of program training, CPR, AED, and first aid on top of their years of experience in the fitness industry. We're here to help you fight back against Parkinson's!
